Smartboard Functionality

This Smartboard functions as a computer, whiteboard, TV, and monitor all-in-one. It's a very useful device for anyone in the education field or anyone in an office environment where presentations are the norm. So let me quickly go over some of the device features and specs, and then I'll show you this amazing Smartboard in action.

Key Features and Specifications

It has a 55" 4K touchscreen display with 20 touch points as well as stylus riding support. It has 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage. It's equipped with 25 W loud speakers on the front and has a touchpen magnetic holder between the two speakers.

Connectivity Options

Connectivity Options

As for physical connections, it has a microphone in Jack, RS232 Port, Optical out, VGA in, PC or auxiliary audio port on the side, an RJ45 ethernet port, a USB type B Port, two HDMI ports, a USB 2.0 and 3.0 port on the back, and on the front a type- c Port, an HDMI port, a USB type B and two USB 3.0 ports. It also has four Wi-Fi antenna connections so you have more than one way to connect to this display.

Mounting Options

Mounting Options

Now when it comes to mounting this display you can either mount it directly to the wall with the wall mount or you can purchase this rolling stand which is sold separately. This rolling stand is very convenient especially for work or conference environments and also educational environments. You can easily roll it in for a presentation or movie and then roll it back out or to the side when you're done using it.

Smartboard In Action: Ease of Use

Now on to the Smartboard itself. Powering it on and connecting it to the Wi-Fi or Internet is easy. You can download the Play Store and apps which you want to use with the Smartboard. You can use teams or similar apps to conference for work and multiple people can connect to the Smartboard to work together on the same project so you don't have to be the only one seeing what's on the screen or controlling the screen itself.

Multitasking Capabilities

The screen can also split into two or four so you can multi-function and use multiple apps together. For example, if you're showing a video and at the same time you want to take notes on the side as well as compare it with some pictures and have a webcam session going, the options are up to you.

Annotation and Collaboration Features

Mounting Options

What I like about this is that I can be watching my YouTube videos and I can write directly over the video itself if I want to jot down some notes or Point certain things out. I can also save notes and screenshots as well as files and easily share them with either a QR code or through email. The screen has 20 touch points so multiple people can touch the screen at once allowing multiple person annotations so it can be drawing something on one side while someone else is writing something on the other side.

Web Browsing

Web Browsing

There's also a built-in browser to browse the web, but you can also download other browsers from the Play Store like Chrome or Firefox. As for the internet connection, the built-in Wi-Fi is decent and will do the job but it's not the best or smoothest for internet connection especially for for higher quality videos or larger files so I prefer to directly connect it to the internet with the ethernet cable to have a much smoother, faster and reliable connection.

Final Thoughts and Recommendation

Overall this is a very useful all-in-one device for a wide variety of tasks. It looks nice and has a nice slim bezel or border around the screen and has multiple ways of mounting the Smartboard giving you the option to choose to permanently mount it or mount it to a rolling stand making it convenient to put away when not in use. The fact that multiple users can connect to the Smartboard with various apps that are built for this type of Smartboard and the support for the multi-person touch or annotation makes for a useful and productive device for work, education and just for fun.

If you're looking for an alternative to a standard whiteboard and want to use a more modern tech solution which has more features and useful tools I recommend using a Smartboard like this 55 in HKMLC allinone interactive Smartboard. I'll Place links in the description and I'll see you you in the next one.
