How to Configure Printer and Peripheral Device Settings on HKMLC Smart Board

And unless you have logged in for the first time or just installed the HKMLC smart board, you have to set up a printer and any other peripheral device of your choice to ease your productivity. Correct setup is essential for seamless operation, whether it's for printing documents, scanning materials or connecting to other devices. This guide will help you connect and set up printers and peripherals to your HKMLC smart board.

Accessing System Settings

When setting up a printer or other peripherals:

  • Turn on the HKMLC smart board.
  • From the home screen, go to System Settings.
  • So, click on Devices & Printers to start setting up external devices.

Checking Available Channels

Multiple connections via printers and peripherals are supported by HKMLC smart board:

  • USB Connection: Attach the printer directly to the USB port on smart board.
  • Print via Wi-Fi: Connect to a wireless printer via the Wi-Fi network.

Adding a Printer

To install a new printer:

  • From Devices & Printers > Add Printer.
  • Choose Search for Available Printers to find compatible devices.
  • Select the printer and proceed to install it.

Installing Printer Drivers

  • In Devices & Printers, check to see if you require a driver.

  • Devices & Printers.
  • Click the preferred printer, and click Set as Default.

Testing the Printer Function

  • Open Settings > Devices & Printers, and print a test page.
  • If you can print a test then you are good to go.
